Default Alrighty, coming close to my install time, Just a few more Questions.

After buying -Most- of the parts I need, I'm on a strict budget. I'm using the IHI turbo. Search for my old threads and you'll see my setup. I am running a chipped, p28 and mostly likely will get it professionally tuned.

Onto the questions!

1. The stock IHI is set at 8 PSI I believe. I do not want to buy injectors if I dont' have too. Will my stock ones Suffice? I am running Uberdata.

2. Again, on the budget. This is an HMT Setup. I want to know if I can use a heavy duty radiator hose for my Charge piping. The only drawback is the heat issue. If its not a big deal, I'd much rather do this.

3. When this is all assembled, what is the proper way to drive it to the tuners, or two and from work for a few days without boosting? It reaches full boost at 2k. What should I do to prevent boost?

4. A really dumb question. How do I adjust the stock Wastegate on the IHI? It just looks wierd..

5. I plan on Removing AC, Which I think i'll have too. If not. Great. But if I do, Will I need to get a different belt? Or will the AC Just unbolt and be out of the way?

6. I can't remember the others, so I'll update this as I remember.

Thanks again HT.

well ill try answer your q's,
1. you will need bigger injectors if your running ubberdata/hondata/crome/neptune(dsm 440s are nice). people only use stock injectors when running an fmu which raises fuel pressure per psi i think and they are not too efficient.
2. not sure how well radiator hoses will hold up, but you can get ubends from napa for like 10-15 bucks each.
3. you can drive it to the tuner without boosting for the most part, just load the basemap and dont push the throttle to heavily no matter how tempting it is.
4. ive never had an internal gated turbo, but i would think they are similiar to externals such that it it can only be raised and only with a boost controller.
5. ac depends on your setup, if you have to remove it, you will probably have to unbolt the ac compressor.
from personal experience its not good to half *** it, get it done right the first time. this doesnt mean you cant do it for cheap, but try not to cut corners because you will most likely be spending more money down the road to fix it.tuning/fuel management is the key, so get some injectors!

Well, I've heard that the stock Injectors are good up to a certain PSI.
And radiator hose is rated up to 15 PSI I think.

Any others?

personally i think you should get some mild steel bends and cheap couplers for the piping. why cheap out on something that will cost about 100 bux?

you can also get dsm injectors for 50 bucks if you look around.

you will need some sort of boost controller to turn up boost

Turboing your car isnt something you want to cheap out on.

1-No they wont work...youll need something bigger.
2-Radiator hose expands under boost...so stop being cheap and spend $20 on some cheap bends.
3-Burn a really conservative basemap and drive it...just not too hard.
4-If the internal gate isnt adjustable then youll have to get a BC. Unless they make adjustable wga's for that turbo. Try Forge performance...they make wga's for alot of internally gated turbos.
5-Just take it off and dont worry about it...consider it weight savings
