I havent noticed it recently but at first when I put the turbo on I would notice this burning oil smell.. Then like a week ago my car sat for 5 days strait and the first time I took it out I got on it abit and started smelling the smell again..
then tonight I was riding in my friends trans am and it started smell like that after he ripped on it.. It had been like 5 days since he had driven his car too..
Is this normal for after a car sits for awhile or could something actually be wrong..

I don't think any burning oil smell is a good thing. You should check the oil seals on your turbo. How old is the turbo? Was it used when you got it? If it was used, did you rebuild it before putting it on the car?
You probably have a VERY slow leak at your oil pan, drain back or the rear oil feel connections you made... Mine leaks some, but never leaves anything on the ground. It does smell from time to time when I romp it good though.
Also, comparing a turbo Honda to a Domestic is not a good idea...
My 1986 Mustang is nicknamed "Ole Smokey" for a reason...
It drinks 20W50 like a fish, cusses at me like a sailor, and that DAMN fan clutch locked up again, so it sounds like a turbo prop plane without any *** behind it!! GRRRR!!!

makes me think... do fish 'drink'? heh
My oil feed fitting on the turbo has a really slow leak. check there or the oil return. when my sending unit fittings were leaking it would drip on the downpipe. I suppose when you push it the temp of the piping gets hot enough to start burning it off.
