92 dx hatch, vx/si cluster forget which (car is at home can't check). is it plug n play? the speedometer doesn't work, milage doesn't go up when driving, needle does not move. what are the possibilities and which one most likely the problem.

 

I'd first replace the speed sensor in the engine bay. Then I'd have someone check all the wires are connected properly to their homes, and are grounded well. I've done all this, and I've been told the only solution is to replace the damn thing with one from a junkyard. This is a common problem with eg civics, so i hear.

 

under dash fuse.

 

if the speed sensor is damaged or the wires not making contact you should get a cel light, check that first

then maybe the fuse

if not the gauge could be damaged

 

might be the cluster.. I had to replace mine 2 years ago when my speedo quit. I even repLaced the VSS
