B18C5 into Ek civic
Hi,
Im from the Uk and have a civic vti coupe, know to you guys as an si.
The B16a2, is out of the car and i currently have a B18C5 ready to go in complete with wiring harness and ecu.
My question is - Can i use my original wiring harness and will it plug straight into the B18c5 ecu or will i have take my whole harness out and replace it with the B18c5 harness. Im pretty dumb as far as the ecu talk goes. Please help.
Ive done a search and hav'nt found much on this swap. ( is this cos its simple to do ???)
Your comments would be appreciated.
thanks

The only Integra ECUs to share the same physical ECU connector arrangment as the 99-00 Si Civic started in 2000. So if your ITR ECU is a 00, then yes it will plug directly into a 99-00 Si.
If its earlier than this, just get an OBD2b-OBD2a adapter harness. To my knowledge, Acura didn't stop with the 2-piece engine harness design while the 6th gen Civics used a 1-piece harness that runs through the firewall. So trying to re-use the ITR harness would not work here.

Brilliant, thanks for the info, another thing, when the engine is installled whats the likely hood of the manifold matching up to my CAT or will it not???
soz for all these stupid questions but i just want the conversion to go as smoothly as possible.
