B16a2 wiring harness issues
Hey trying to help out a buddy who recently picked up a swapped EJ. Car seems to burn a bit of oil and after further investigation, it seems that the ecu used only has 2 of the 3 plugs attached and the third is no where to be found under the dash. The car is using a p2t-A11 ecu and the chassis is obd2a. My main question at this point being as it seems the wiring harness was hacked to install the b16a2, is if a new harness is used to replaced this hacked one, should he go with an OBD2A civic ex harness and use a jumper harness to accept the ecu or should he use a civic si harness? The car will have to go to emissions and im not sure if the OBD2B harness will necessarily connect correctly or vice versa. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
A few side notes: the speedometer doesnt read, yet vtec kicks in at the appropriate rpm
As far as the smoking goes we preformed a comp test and read 155-160 psi across the board, still have to do a leak down test tho.
Also as i forgot to clarify the missing plug to the ecu would be the largest of the plugs or connector "A" if you find a diagram of plug schematics
and heres a link to show you: http://www.ff-squad.com/technet/wiring.obd2b.htm

anyone with a b16a2 swap in your ej, did you use a different harness or did you hack the existing one? if so have you been able to connect a scanner to check for codes at all?
