Default More Power!

So I finally gave in and took out my P/S and A/C belts. Honestly, I thought it was all hype. But it instantly noticed better throttle response and better tq throughout my entire powerband. I will be taking both the P/S and A/C units really soon. Just unneccesary clutter and weight. I must say, I doubted you guys on this one, but im now a believer! P/S and A/C are OVERRATED imo. hehe. I'm having fun with my new found power. What's next? whoooo knows. whatever my pocket change and lint can scrounge up. lol

Do you still have an interior? If so then that's a lot more unnecessary clutter and weight.

I do still have interior. the reasoning? this is my DD. my overall goal is to run low 13's with a full interior. so im trying to keep it within my goal "criteria"

most likely full 2.5" exhaust, DC 4-2-1 header, P/P I/M, TB, and cams. Eventually going to install a supercharger. when that will be....i have nooo clue.

A/C isn't unneccesary clutter in Florida, unless you are into spontanious combustion.

Remove whatever inteior you dont see, like from the boot (or trunk in USA), all those cards, just leave spare wheel and jack. If you really wanted to save weight, take off your wheel nuts ( joke, please do not do this!!)

1)instant power, no need to wait for it to spool 2)more consistant 3)too many turbo'd integra's around St. Paul, I want something different. 4)they sound wayy better than a turbo imo.

A supercharged DD isn't that bad. I'll only be running 7psi on the weekdays and then switch to a 13psi pully on the weekends. this is of course, after i re-build the engine :-P

If your end goal is 13s, you can run a turbo setup that will not be that laggy at all. Utilizing a smaller turbo (ie 14b off a 1g DSM), you should see good spool time, and they are good for about 300hp, which SHOULD be good enough for 13s in a fairly light car.

Also, I'm not that familiar with superchargers, but I know i would rather just turn a **** than change a pulley each weekend.

And finally, I know its only my opinion, but the sound of a turbo spooling is pure sex

WHatever you choose, good luck tho

what year teg do you have, because if its a da you might have some trouble fitting a supercharger in the engine bay...lol, the only supercharger ive seen in the das was a vortec in a 92-93 gsr

i do agree with you, there are kits i could put together that wouldn't lag as much, and yes i know the sound of a turbo spooling is sex, i had a 96gsr running at 5psi. i'd just like to try something new. superchargers and a new found love for me. after i rode in my friends svt cobra at 13psi, i fell in love with it. hehe

I dont want to rain on your parade, but theres gonna be a difference between a supercharged V8 and an I4.

Superchargers need torque, turbos don't
