Are there any benefits to tearing the interior out of your car?

 

i dont understand your question? people gutt there car to make it lighter is this what your mean? power to wieght ratio

 

I'm in the process of tearing my interior out since its REALLY dirty and has wear/tear. Need to head to the junk yard and scrape a grey quartz interior

 

Well, my interior is in bad shape from previous owner. Carpet is nasty and a lot of the interior parts are either missing or broken. And i've seen a lot of hondas with no interior. Just bare painted metal. So, I was wondering if there was a specific reason or benefit.
