Default Lsvtec picking my cam

Before I say anything I want everybody to no that i have search and research many cams and dyno charts people builds and so on. With that out of the way I am posting this topic not for anyone to tell me what to do or for me to make stupid comments. I simply want to know what you "the honda-tech community" feel I should do.

My set up is as follows...

Block
b18 out of a 90 ls
forged pistons and rods 12.5 comp
block guard
gsr water pump and all that stuff

Head[/U
b16 ported polished milled.5
3 angle valve job
stock valve train

As far as bolt on I have just about everything you can think of so im not going to be listing. The question I want to ask everyone is what cams do you think i should be running. I am going to be driving my car everyday, yes I will be getting it tuned with the aem computer. I plain on revving to 8200 an no higher. I built the engine for racing so I want it to pull hard up top but since I will be using it on the street I want midrange power. As far as gas mileage i don't care.

I have really been looking at buddy club 3's and I hear alot of poeple saying that if your going to go 3's you mine as well do 4's. What I really want is for my engine to produce its best power band. If the 4's produce more hp but not as good power band i really don't want to do them. I also just saw that buddy club is coming out with a stage 5 cam. I would just like some suggestion on what you think i should do. If possible post some dyno charts of cams with specs on engines so people aren't asking millions of stupid questions.

I regaurdless what cams I choice to do I am going to do the valve train with the best combination hence buddy club cams buddy club valve train. I don't feel it is going to be safe and healthy for my engine to be reving past 8200 on a stock ls crank. I plain on having the car run hard and run for a long time so I am building wisely.

With that setup you should have no problem reving to 9000 if need be. If you want midrange then go for the skunk2 pro1's. You can also look into rockets M22's.

The stock ls crank is not designed to spin that high so I dont think it would be safe to rev that high. As far as the head making power to 9k it depends on my valve train. Do you think the m22's will be making more power then buddy club spec 3 or even spec 4

You should look into the skunk2 Pro 1's or rm m22x, they seem to make good mid-range and good top end power.

if you got the cash for namebrand cams go for it. But its better dollar:hp ratio imo. to get some ITR cams, money spent better on 68-70mm throttle body. im no expert, just broke.

By balancing a ls crack and forgged internals it is no longer a stock crank. By stock crank I mean i has no work done to it, it is the same crank that came in the car when i got it.
