Default cam decision

i am currently running a b16 81.5 bore eagle h beam rods and 12.5 JE pistons ... i was planning on a little spray in the future is the reason i went with the heavy rods .. ok a lot! ... my question is with out claying my head which i dont want to do cause the engine is assembled now and in my daily driver with stock cams and valve train ... what cams would you suggest for my set up and not have to worry about piston-valvle cotastrophe .. i was looking at the blox and buddy club cams but i am scared to take that step from "stage III" to the IV ... any knowledgable input would be greatly appreciated ... ps i am running a stock head gasket!

in general aftermarket pistons have some pretty deep valve reliefs, capable of supporting some pretty big cams if you are working with a unmilled head and stock deck. Something with a close to stock lift would be your best bet if you dont plan to clay, that way you know your ok for the most part.

Dont be fooled by the spec 3 in the buddy clubs, they are similar to other companies stage 1's, and the IV's are stage 2's.

With that being said, you should still clay!

The more the compression the bigger cam you can use... Just be careful.

Damn right..GO HAWKS lol anyhoo, the blox cams are skunk cams so choose accordingly.
Also c-speed racing has a great write up, you should visit the site http://www.c-speedracing.com.
