What you want to do is get a good crankcase ventilation setup going. If you search the archives, there is a huge (like 20 page) thread that discusses all the types of catch-can variations for any given setup.

Just buy a cheap-o catch-can (mine was $30 on ebay) and follow the write-up on how to hook it up. Most people with a good setup don't use the PCV valve at all.

i dont have a intake comming off my turbo to hook the hose up, i have a filter right on the turbo

There should be a nipple on the turbo housing. If not, you could drill tap one (if you're ballsy) or just add a short intake pipe.


But if it comes down to it, you *could* leave the PCV hooked up to your intake manifold like it is from the factory. But the problem is that all PCV valves leak boost and you will pressurize your crankcase.

I tested several PCV valves and never found one that didn't leak under boost.

Yes. What you actually want is a slight vacuum in your crankcase. Positive pressure is bad.

yes, it is bad.. heres my setup, during vaccum i still have vaccum assisted ventilatoin.. during boost, i have 2 vents

 

so how can i do it if i have no intake comming off the turbo just the filter,

 

do you have a nipple on the compressor housing? I guess you could try doing what Enzo said and running it to there.

ROFL!!!! I love this guy. He busts his little diagram every chance he gets. I swear, it must be posted on H-T in a million different threads. I remember when people were saying your setup looked like a rat's nest and I made this:



Not to diss you setup, but any system that uses check valves is no good for high boost. Check valves leak, plain and simple. I'm sure your setup is fine for low boost, like up to 10psi, but if you are doing 15 or 20psi then at least 2psi is going to be leaking through your check valves.

i was trying to redo my pcv setup, while you had nothing else to do and be fascinated with my graph. i didn't take enough time to make a clean graph, so it was confusing, my last graph is pretty simple.

depending on what type of check valve you use, some may leak few psi even if they're rated for high pressure, mine doesn't leak any psi, i'm not sure what the rating on that, but i'll test it to find out. pcv valves on other hand are not reliable and might leak, seems like you got the 2 confused.

 

No, I have a rig that tests check valves. I tried every PCV and check valve I could find, which included some pretty expensive ones, and they all leaked. Granted, the expensive ones leaked less, but none of them had a perfect seal.

That's just the nature of the beast. The ball bearings in the check valves aren't perfect geometric circles, and their seats aren't perfectly concentric either.

have you tested (honda oem) inline check valve? the brake line check valve?

 

No, but I guess I could later if I'm not feeling lazy.

 

i have my wastgate conected to that nipple, should i tap that connection
