Default Hasport's H22-powered CRX

You guys think its still worth putting a h22 in a crx even with the hasport mounts coming out? So wat are your pro's and con's..(Came out from Sport Compact Car Magazine)

in the magazine it's instructed to even take out your stereo? what?

I am from the UK and have been sourcing parts for almost a year to do this swap. I have been holding out for the hasport mounts as my fabrication skills are *****! plus I want everythign lined up right as to avoid other problems.

I want to boost my h22 once its in the CRX also, but am having difficulty with the radiator, you think a slanted 92-95 del sol radiator would work? If not i'll have to find someone with a tig welder to shorten the thing, any suggestions?

I'm with you Ace. Do a little searching and you will info on H22 CRX. Maybe they want you to take the stereo out to put in the cable shifter BS.

Does anyone have an item/part number for the driveshafts Hasport used in this swap? I know it was the driveshaftshop.com. Do I just call up and say give me some of what they had?

I know you can use stock accord/integra axles but would prefer to do things properly first time round as these are going to see alot of power/vibration.

Thanks in advance

The mounts can be purchased through HASPORT, you need to get yourself on the order list. I ordered mine last wednesday and am not recieving them till November/December time. The part number for the mount kit is listed in septembers Sport Compact Car. Thanks to NGChris for sending me a copy oversea's top guy

Anyone know about the dirveshafts? I'll email the driveshaft shop now, lets keep this thread dedicated to the way HASPORT did things in their guide this makes it easier to follow for everyone

Or you could just get a PWR shorty radiator from http://www.full-race.com

Thanks Blueshadow i'll check them out

Can anyone call the driveshaft shop for me on 1-800-564-2244, I am from the UK so this costs me a pretty penny to do so. I am basically wanting to know (im sure others do too) the part number of the driveshafts used in the HASPORT H22 CRX swap.

You help would be most appreciated

Blueshadow - is that the 92-00 Civic half sized radiator? Is that likely to be any shorter?

I'll email full-race see if I can get some part numbers to post up also.

Thanks

It's this one right here:

I used the shorty radiator but it still didnt clear my dp (b18c), so i had to slide it down into the corner. the radiator now just barely clears the dp (1 cm or so).

The mounts are $599 from what I remember. The part number is in SCC, I shall have a look and post it up.

Im sure they'll sell back issues of SCC on their website? If not I'll try scanning it and putting it up on here

Trust me guys, save your cash now! I went for a ride in Brian's h22 CRX (SCC one) and i was shocked to say the least. IMO this is a K-series for your little rex for half the cost. A poor man's K20. All he has on it are I/H/E and that thing pulled like a ***** all the way to redline. The downside is you need to do a little hacking and pounding to make it fit but the end result is a 200hp+ beast that you can shut the hood over. Talk about sleeper! Riding in that crx has me thinking about selling my B-powered EG. For $5000 including the price of the car you could have one mean ride. I'm personally not looking forward to doing the wiring for all those harnesses, but i'll be happy knowing you will all be making cocky people look stupid
