i have a 92 si and im not sure if the vtec works. i don't think it does because i don't hear the noise of the solenoid in higher rpm. it has 204000 miles and i was thinking it was the solenoid but im not sure. thanks for any help

 

Well SOHC VTEC isn't really audible. Also you wouldnt be able to hear the solenoid unless your car was silent.

Also for VTEC to work:

Your engine has to be at operating temp
You have to be going 20 mph
You can't be in neutral
You have to have enough oil
