If her EX redlines at 25, she doesn't have an EX tranny.

yup on my ex around 70mph its at about 3000k
btw for you canadians out there 70mph is about 100-115 kmh?
70kmh is only like 45-50mph...someone correct me if im wrong i dont feel like going outside to look at the little numbers in my speedometer
they drive slower in canada due to their smaller freeways....or "highways"

Whatever the case, what I posted earlier about the speeds is correct. That is the gearing for an EX tranny, every other transmission gets a bit worse as you go through each model.

Not to punch holes in your post but watching your cluster's tach is not always very accurate for both speed and engine rpms. It's converting an electrical signal to a mechanical output so any slight variation in wire length, connectors, etc (aka resistance) will vary the speedo/tachometers. It's not uncommon for your tach to be off by 300 rpm at times, so that's just something to keep in mind. Having a digital readout is helpful (vafc or such)

i used to live in Canada, and thats how i know this....im not trying to start an argument with you, but i dont understand how u can say this?...the average speed limit in canada is 70kmh and the average speed limit here in the US is 65mph...(on the freeway of course)
and on top of that nobody goes 65mph...im cruising at around 80 and ppl are still passing my by
