Clutch Master Cylinder wont drain
Ok, im having a hell of a time trying to bleed out my clutch system. orginally i thought the problem was in a stainles line that replaced all the hard lines from the matster cylinder tot he slave cylinder. well i replaced that whole line with an original honda hardline. now i still cant bleed the system. the slave cylinder is fine. one thing i noticed when i unhooked the stainless line fom the master cylinder was that no fluid came gushing out of it like you would expect. so we un bolted the stock line again and started to pump the mater cylinder hoping to see fluid fly out but nothing happens, just air being pumped out. is the master cylinder bad?
How long have you been pumping for? When I replace master cylinders it ususally takes a while to get all the air out and to make sure the fluid is coming through.
at least 5 minutes. then held down the pedal and opened the valve to see if air would come out. no air looked/sounded like it came out. so we tried it again for maybe another 3 minuts and still nothing
pump the pedal about 30 times, this should buld up pressure, you may have to do this numerous times, as i have seen bleeding take up to 30 minutes sometimes, to get it correct. Then release the slave cylinder valve to release the air, but make sure you close it before the pedal is released again
