Downpipe exhaust leak...ok to drive?
I noticed my downpipe is leaking; 2 of the 5 studs fell out so I'm pretty sure that's the culprit. Anyway the only noticeable effect is that boost is very laggy and that my car sounds like a hooptie. Will it still be okay to drive it? I'm putting on a full 3" inch exhaust in a week, so the downpipe will be coming off then anyway. Is it okay to keep driving it until I can get it fixed?
**Also, I tried calling Fast-Turbo to order more studs and they are on back order...any idea where else to find them? I tried NAPA but didn't have any luck.

What kind of turbo is it?
I use these in on my T3 turbine:

I've also used OEM Honda exhaust manifold studs without any problems in the past.

you should not have lag if your leaking out of your downpipe. it should just be louder. i would double check and make sure there isn't any leaks before the turbo. make sure your head bolts are tight, and your manifold to turbo bolts are tight. ive run 3 of the 5 downpipe bolts and had no leaks, once the manifold to turbo bolt came loose, it leaked like crazy.
exactly... a leak after the turbo will only decrease lag.....you are probably leaking B/W the turbo and manifold or the manifold and head

if the leak is after the o2 sensor it will cause no change.
if the leak is prior to the o2 sensor you could run rich because some carbon could leak out or some air can leak in. causing an inaqurate o2 readings

INCORRECT!
The bolt holes on the exhaust housing for both the 5 bolt flange and the center section go straight through and will allow exhaust to leak out before it passes through the turbine causing serious lag. Inspect a housing and you will see, I have had this problem too. Its no really a downpipe leak but an exhaust housing leak through the downpipe bolt/stud holes. Locktite and lock washers are your friend.

yes very true. but the leak is pre o2. just wanted to inform the driver so he won't think its another problem. quick fix get some of that red high temp compound and apply it between your downpipe and turbine housing.
