EG civic VX model with hesitation problems
car : 1992 civic VX ( 1.5 vtec-e)
The car is bone stock and ever since I have bought it, there has been a hesitation while accelerating from 2000-3000 rpm. The check engine light does NOT come on at all. Also if I turn the A/C on the car will not idle. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? The car will be getting a motor swap in a couple months but until then I want to fix this problem. Thanks for the info.

I'm not trying to jack this thread but I have a very similar problem with my VX. It WILL idle with the air on. When driving once the motor is warmed up, it feels sluggish while trying to hold it's speed. If I give it gas it acts fine while accelerating then once I reach my speed to cruise ( doesn't matter how fast) it bogs. Plus my gas mileage has gone to crap (40 mpg).
I thought I read once on H-T that it could be the o2 sensor but I haven't been able to find the thread. I have changed, distributor cap, rotor, wires, and plugs but it made no difference. It runs perfect when first started but once it reaches operating temperature is when the hesitation starts.
I'm still searching to find that thread and how to check the sensor. They are expensive, around $300.00, so I don't want to run out and buy one before I'm sure that it. Maybe we can get some help on this.

The Head is a true scholar. PCV valve seemed to fix the hesitation issue, the car even idles with the A/C on. Sure the idle isn't very high when the a/c is on, but none the less, is doesn't die on me. Bravo , Bravo

I unhooked the o2 sensor and drove the car, smooth as silk, but of course throwing a code. The cheapest I have found a factory sensor so far is $425.00! Ouch.
