Default h22 eg timing belt and idle problem

Ok vehicle is a 93 vx hatch with h22a.

First problem...
I was looking at the timing belt from the camgears, since the cover is off there. And the belt is riding about an eighth of an inch off of the gear. I can push it back flush onto the gears but when i start up the engine the belt just slides back off about an eighth of an inch. Does this have anything to do with the tensioner problem i've been reading about?

Second...
Sometimes when the vechicle is warm, the idle starts to dip up and down and sometimes stall out. And when running on the bypass and I engine brake I get a CEL but can't check the code because once the car is restarted the light is gone. And If i try to check the code its just 1 continuous blink.

Any help would be much appreciated. I read something about maybe the egr wiring is causing the second problem.

Thanks.

First problem sounds like a tension problem

second problem could be the wiring but idk

my belt does that too. It slides over and stays just barely off the cam gears. I have the manual tensioner too, but it hasn't caused me any problems, so I'm not worried about it.

For you cel, does one continuous blink mean it just stays on, or it blinks once over and over again? Did you convert your 5 wire vx o2 to 4 wire? What ecu are you running?

the ecu is p13. And i'm really not sure about the o2, me and a friend did everything and he handled the wiring part of it, and we're not really on good terms right now.

And the CEL blinks just 1 blink over and over and over again. Just like if i jumped it without a CEL on, well thats what it does without a cel on anyways.

is it a short blink or a long blink? short = 1, long = 10.

sry for double post

I'm guessing codes stay in the ecu even without the CEL on, if i'm getting 1 long blink everytime i jump the plug.

they are stored until you reset the ecu. Code 10 is IAT.

could the iat also be the reason it seems like my car runs awesome early in the morning at like 8am, and sometimes i get random misfires and dropping idle later in the day at like 3pm??
