Default Need help removing tie rod end from strut...(pics)

This is an '02 Civic Ex coupe 95k miles (I know, we drive a lot).

Trying to replace the struts, but the tie rod ends won't detatch from the strut! WTF?!

Ok I've never done this before, so your help is much appreciated

This is what I'm trying to remove (for those who might not call it a tie rod)

and I did search first

use a ball joint popper thing (idk wut its really called) it looks like a giant 2 prong fork and the 2 prongs have flat sides and they're banked just put that in there and hammer it.

oh and whatever you do, dont hit the bottom with a hammer thinking it will pop out, you'll most likely strip the threads

take a really big hammer.. hit that pickle fork as hard as you can.. if not, hit the part that the rod connects to.. the part that is off the strut itself.. do not hit the ball joint or the stud off the ball joint.. anything but that use your muscles!

find a big a$$ hammer and smack the hell out of the knuckle where the tie rod goes into and it will pop out by itself. Trust me hit it hard and nothing will happen I do this everyday
