VAFC Hack throttle points setting?
Im going to boost my d16y8 stock internal this weekend.
set up as follow
450 DSM (blue top)+VAFC
Resistor box
OBD2 ECU
Stock fuel pump
IHI Rbh5 VJ20 @ 6psi
I read many post and article about VAFC hack (liam, Thermal, Home-made turbo, Turbo D16 etc.
)
BUT I just cant find a good explanation about setting throttle point?
Normally for NA car the TH-point will be around 10%-50%
1.WHY when we turbo a car we need to move to 71%-72% or 91%-92%?
2.What will effect if we still set TH-point 10%-50% when turbo?
3.Is this TH-point change can cause any CEL?
Thanks in advance

The Throttle point tells the afc when to switch from the Low fuel settings/map to the Hi fuel settings/map at the % throttle position that you have set. Thats all it does.
2) There is no difference whether its NA or Turbo.
3) No, it does not affect your CEL in any way unless your fuel trims are way abnormal..

Oh ic.....thanks for tech. info
So if I set fuel map on LOW as same as on High
then it doesnt matter to set TH point at 10%-50% or 71%-72% right
