Default vafc hack settings question

i have a quick question about the hack,

what throttle settings are you guys using? coz from the original posting from the afc hack info thread, throttle setting was at

low high
98% 99%

so does this mean that from 0% to 98% throttle position the vafc will be using the narrow throttle (lo and hi cam?) fuel maps? and at 99% to 100% throttle position it will be using the wide throttle (lo and hi cam?) fuel maps?

i was thinking of lowering the throttle settings coz i rarely go 99% to 100% throttle so my wide throttle fuel maps wont be used that often, if the above assumptions are correct.

can i use a different fuel map for low or narrow throttle(off boost) to lean it out a bit and then use the wide throttle setting to richen it up if im boosting.

i start boosting at 3k and reach full boost at 3.5k to 4k rpm so that's about 30% throttle? will setting my lo throttle at 30% ok?

yea i believe your factory setting for WOT and partial throttle are set at 94%

I would stay right around that. 30% is too low. When using the v-afc hack in general your fuel maps will be very similar so it probably wouldn't matter but i would put them right at 94 95 %.

i set mine at 45%lo and 46%hi. pre turbo and at 0 correction car goes full rich at 50% throttle. i set it a little lower for tip in. seems to work just fine this way dyno and street.

what's your ne(rpm) setting? do i have to overlap the lo to hi cam rpms or can i just start from where the lo cam rpm finished off?

for example,

can i do this:

lo cam__________hi cam
ne1 1k______________6k
ne2 2k______________6.5k
ne3 3k______________7k
ne4 3.5k_____________7.5k
ne5 4k_______________8k
ne6 4.5k_____________8.5k
ne7 5k_______________9k
ne8 5.5______________9.5k

or do i have to do this: (overlap on 5.5k)

ne1 1k___________5.5k____ -36
ne2 2k___________6k
ne3 3k___________6.5k
ne4 3.5k__________7k
ne5 4k___________7.5k
ne6 4.5k__________8k
ne7 5k___________8.5k
ne8 5.5k___-36_____9k

what do you think?

can you show me your rpm and fuel settings? at what rpm do you start boosting and reach full boost?

here to make things simple....use the original setting from the afc and just change the say ne 4.5k or 5k or 5.5k either high or low cam where the vtec engages...so say u have a dohc vtec like a b16 where vtec hits in at 5600k...move the ne5 to like 5.5k and have it set to -37% so vtec has enough fuel....make it both for low and high cam profile

i have d16y7=no vtec. unfortunately i can't help you with that part of you settings, but here are my safc corrections. remember this is after dyno tuning and i'm running a smallish turbo. if you are trying to get a safe base setting you might want to reduce the corrections (richen it up) until you can strap it to a dyno.
i start boosting immediately (about 2.5k) and hit 8psi at about 3k-3.5k depending on what gear i'm in and it stays 8psi all the way to redline.
throttle 45lo 46hi
corrections:
lo hi
1k -47 -50
2k -46 -48
3k -46 -45
3.5k -46 -45
4k -46 -47
4.5k -46 -47
6k -46 -48
6.5k -46 -50

ok thanks guys.

have any of you try setting the input sensor to 06 and output to 14 so that the fuel settings starts at 0 instead of -40-something? this is in reference to what type-gs-r-turbo posted about the gm 3bar map sensor.

my other question was not answered so here it goes again, do i have to set my narrow throttle (hi and lo cam) and the wide throttle (lo and hi cam) with the same setting and throttle (ne) points?

can't i set my narrow throttle maps leaner and the set my wide throttle point richer for boost? so i'll have 2 maps, one for low throttle and one for wide throttle which it automatically switches between maps according to where i set my narrow and wide throttle positions points.

sorry to keep asking so may question but until i have my car dyno tuned i would like to get the right settings in the meantime.
