Hey, I just bought a 1993 Honda Civic Del Sol Si, but I need to fix some stuff on it. First, do the Si's come with vtec?...Some people told me that it does, but it doesn't say it on the engine. Second, how can I fix the T-Top water leak problem? I know that's a big issue with Del Sols, but I couldn't find a thread about it. Third, the sound of the speaker system is poor, the speakers sound fuzy and the sound is interrputed with static, the person I bought it from had just changed the two front speakers, he suggested that it was a wiring problem, but I just dont know. Please if anyone can help me with any of these questions it would be of BIG help, tnx.
I think the si is vtec, the valve cover doesnt say it on 92-93 modles only on 94-95. Look at the code on the block, to the left of the exhaust manifold, where the eingin and transmission meet. It should say d16z6, if it does then its vtec.

Dude go to http://www.teamdelsol.com, they have a great info/DIY forum. It has all the info on tightening the roof, maintaining it, fixing miscellaneous leaks(roof, trunk x2 spots, etc) its a good site for eg2 owners

Replace the seals with new ones. There was an actual recall for this for cars with the original seals but they're so old now I doubt it's still in effect.
Tightening the roof I believe means pull the side plastic panels off, loosen all the nuts that hold the mounting hardware to the roof, close the doors, latch the panel, then inspect from the outside to make sure it's got a good seal against the window. If it does, carefully get in, close the doors, and tighten all the nuts. The sides will now make as good a seal as they can against the side windows - forward and back seals you're stuck with.
Silicone grease (can be bought from any Honda dealer) will work wonders on the seals. A tube will run you $20, use it twice a year, it'll last you 3-4 years.

ohhh btw there was a recall on the seals prior to 95 check to see if your car had them done. Call up the dealer with the vin and they can check for you, cheaper then replacing them on your own.
Often times tho it just requires an adjustment.
