1995 Del sol & 1999 civic Si - No A/C
I've got both of these cars going to the honda dealer very soon. Well actually both have been and had the systems evac'd and filled with dye about two months ago. What is the 1st thing to do to each to square away the lack of a/c? They both are doing the same thing, blowing hot. One dealership tells me there is a signal missing to get the Del sol to function. I've tried every ECU I own ( about 10) and nothing no a/c. Before paying someone to get this thing going I figured I'd start a thread. I've got multi-meters and am not afraid to follow direction.
Please help! I'm 30-40 miles off of the Gulf coast Hot as hell down here.

Re: 1995 Del sol & 1999 civic Si - No A/C
Let me rephrase: I have a 1995 honda civic del sol vtec. It blows warm air. The system has been charged. Nothing has changed. Please help me diagnose the problem. I have tools and a little know-how. I am in the electrical and instrumentation field so simple troubleshooting I can handle, however I am not knowledgeable in HVAC.
The 1999 honda civic Si I have has the same issue. Please help out if you can. Thank you very much.

Thread titles must state the tech problem -- edited.
Are both systems fully charged with refrigerant or is there a refrigerant leak?
When the A/C is turned on, does the light in the A/C button illuminate?
Does the condenser fan run?
Does the compressor clutch engage?
Do you have an R134a manifold gauge set? Have you measured the refrigerant pressures on the low and high sides with the engine idling at 1500 rpm?

Check the harness all the way to the compressor. Also check the fuses lol and the power coming from the console which is easy to check by just seeing if the compressor comes on if the ac button is pressed. after that then check the compressor itself it could be seized because even with low frion or a leak after being fully charged it should be colder than outside

Re: 1995 Del sol & 1999 civic Si - No A/C
Thanks for the edit. Sorry I forgot.
Both cars are filled and also have dye in them.
Both cars have the A/C light illuminated.
Condensor fan does run on the Si and I will check the del sol this evening.
I want to say the compressor engages but I'm not 100%, will check this evening and post back.
I don't have guages. Which are preffered? Anything to look for when purchasing any adapters needed or anything? Sorry to sound novice. It's because I am.
Thank you,

I will check this out when I get off from work and hit up a parts house for guages per your recommendations.
