Putting a washer in my TiAL gate to get more pressure?
Oh folks..I have a 14psi spring but I'd like to run near 18 psi. I have a 7psi small spring as well...I dont want to run 21psi, and my ebc is currently broken. SO. I was thinking that I could stick a washer on top of the spring and compress it more making the spring constant larger. you think a 1/4" spacer will be sufficient? or smaller?
I would build one of those $5 boost controllers before I would go messing with putting washers in the wastegate..
i have a Greddy Profec B, but it got burnt up in a nasty electrical surge.
I ended up just running 20 psi turned out it was a 6.25 psi spring :-P And it hauled ***. life is good.

Wait.... so you put a washer on top of the spring in your wastegate and it increased the boost from 6.25psi to 20psi?!
LoL... talk about a cheap boost controller!

nah i took my small 6.25psi spring and set it inside of my 14psi spring....then put the top back on. 6.25+14psi=20.25

On tial's web site it says you can combine the large and small springs to get a desired boost pressure.
I still wonder if the washer trick would work, I may try it on my car once I get the turbo back on there.

I wonder too, I need to run 10 psi, and my MBC is crapping on me.
