Can someone explain how a diff wastegate spring makes a diff?

Default Can someone explain how a diff wastegate spring makes a diff?

example 4lb verus 8lb? I am going to be putting on my kit soon and will be running 10 psi, what should my wWG spring be and why?

diff spring rates have different tension. the higher the tension is and the bigger the spring is. the more its gonna hold the valve. down. thus creating more boost pressure. general rule of thumb is you can saftley exceed your spring by double. so if your spring is 5 psi. the max you should safely go is 10 psi. so as the wastegate deosnt creep/spike
