just got my tial 38mm wastegate. with 7 psi spring. I plan on boosting at least 23 psi. do I need to get a stiffer spring or just keep the 7 and boost it with my avcr apexi. I heard mixed review. like the 7 can only be doubled to 14 psi. just need some clarification before i go buy the stiffer spring. Thanks.

 

Some people have problems and some don't. I have a 7 psi spring and it does fine at 18 psi. If your going to be boosting that high I would just go ahead and get the 14 psi spring.

rule of thumb is you can go only 120% over the spring rate
