Twin Charge Integra. SuperCharge+turbo setup
I don't know if you guys see this b4. It a B16 that make 375whp and 275wtq running on a Jackson Racing Supercharger and a small T3 turbo. It's pretty crazy cause I haven't seen this done on a B series motor B4. The power curve are pretty flat and it's make power instantly. At 2500rpm it make over 100 pound of torque. http://www.highaltitudeimports...pp=15
Yea I'm working on a setup like that for my GS-R. It's quite expensive to get working and tuned but well well worth it in the end. Though I'll probably be using a different turbo, I was still going with a JRSC. As far as piping and cooling are concerned it's a lot easier to work with a roots style than a centrifugal for the Supercharger.
Compound induction for the win.

What exactly would you do with 100lbs of tq @ 2500?

I heard of that being done, but it was on some older VW.
I think it was actually in one of the EuroTuner magazines.
It had some type of clutch that disabled the SC at a certain RPM.

I'm gonna have to agree with this. The company was Meguiar's....twin charged Integra Type R (maroon with a weird body kit).

I just thinks it pretty cool that someone other than big money making company willing to put the effort and take us (Honda) to another level. I think the result are pretty good compare to other car. Sh*t I take this car over my Turbocharge GSR any day. Everything take times to have to good result. If the demand is big enough I'm sure Big Auto company will solve your "crap for results". Look at LS/V-tec some one try it and than alot of people try it and makes it better. I thinks in times this setup will be on alot of peoples car. You see Some people go Supercharge, some people go Turbocharge, Some people go N/A, or Nitrous. I just thinks it nice to get out and do something different than the usual.

I guess they have been doing this on the mini cooper engines. I was talkng to a friend of mine who is a mini guy and he said it is getting more and more popular.
Still seem like a big waste of $$$'s to me, but hey to each his own

well actually, my ITR makes 142 WTQ at 2500 rpms with JUST the JRSC at 8.5 psi and some other mods
its only 100 tq
you guys act like its 500
traction isnt too bad with good tires
realisitically, im never at 2500 rpms, so it doesnt really matter
i launch at 5k at the track and hold 4.5k on the highway

I'm amazed you've never run into the Meguiar’s Twin-Charged Integra built by HKS. Check out SuperStreet's articles on it.

Outrageous Acura
Meguiar's Demo Vehicle
It's really cool, if you have the money to build and tune it correctly.

Why? OK I get that you have an opinion, but what is it based on? Do you have any experience w/ this sort of thing?
The reason I ask, is that it is my brother's car so I am very familiar w/ it (I've torqued head bolts, replaced the radiator on it
). It can have serious wheel spin, but that depends on when you get on the gas. With good tires and waiting till the straights to get on the gas, it is very useable. Also, since the power-curve no longer "jumps" when the turbo kicks-in. It is more useable, smooth power than a turbo alone. I've run on the track w/ him. I was in my car, E46 M3 with approx 360HP, at the crank, and I could not catch him in the straights. It is an amazing amount of power for the $.

The first car to ever be twin charged was the Nissan March (micra) superturbo (1989). My last car was a replica of one one these (that i built). Their just 930cc but are super and turbocharged.

yeah, i somebody actually made a twin charging kit for the mr2, i can't remember what it is though. also back in the 80's audi had a twin charged rally car that made like 600+ horses. it was cleaning up all the races so the fiends banned it. oh yeah it was killing drivers too because that much power in that small of a body is apparently really hard to control in the dirt. i wouldn't know though.
