i tried searching and came up with nothing. My antenna is gone on my 93 del sol. Can i replace it with another one like the s2000 one or should i just get the oem one? anyone done this before

 

i replaced my antenna with an oem one... it was just easier. you'll have to go through the trunk behind the carpet to get it out. it also helps to remove the rear panels behind the seat to get some light in there.

 

Ive been sporting the OEM replacement from ebay I'll try to look up the site I got it from for you. As for removing the rear panels thats a waste of time! dont even bother with that. you wont get nearly enough to make it worth your time!!!

Heres how you do it tho:
1) remove the nut from the outside of the car, you'll need the correct tool to do this if you dont want to scratch it up.
2) remove the passenger side carpet panel
3) remove the antena wire
4) losen the clamp holding the antena in place
5) pull the old antena out and out of the holder

*) you may want to remove the holder instead of losening it to make it easier

Install is pretty much reverse of install

It shouldent take you more then an hr tops with the right tools. took me about 30 minutes.

As for the lack of light just get a flashlight theres plenty of space

I got a no name brand one that was like $25 shipped otherwise you can get the power one from the dealership for about $160. Unfortunetly I havent seen any cheaper ones than that yet.
