Re: Getting Antenna Off A Del Sol???? (BLACK DEATH)
It's a pain in the ***. You need to take the interior paneling off to reach the mounting brackets and it's near the seatbelt. You also need a special tool (to make it easier) to get the nut-like thing off the outside.

take out the panels in your trunk.. it should be right there.. well for unpluggin it if thats the problem.. well u have to take off the interior back panels.. it would be more safe if you have a panel puller to take off the middle piece in the back so u dont slip and scratch the panel.. but i just used a screwdriver.. pull from the bottom of that piece.. make sure u dont break the brackets holding it.. when u get that off.. its pretty much common sense taking off the speaker panel

I just did this over the weekend. I replaced the antenna with a 97 Sol Power Antenna.
It's not really that hard, just need to pull out the back panels, unscrew the nut on the antenna, then there is a nut inside the back panel which gets removed.
Slide the old antenna out, and install your new one.
If you install the power one, you will need to run the harness to the radio, and fuse panel.
