Default Starter cranks while turbo timer is on

I'm sure this is gonna be so easy, so please be gentle, my mind is tired.

I know why it does it... I had to run a relay for my starter when i said goodbye to the stock ecu/harness. No big deal. Then I wired up my turbo timer. Well I use the same ignition wire for the turbo timer. So when the turbo timer is on or counting down it backfeeds and cranks the starter. Can i just bug off after the relay for the turbo timer, was it just that simple? Or do I have to put in a diode (no)?

Thanks in advance

I know Just Another Civic...
His wiring is beautiful, help him out with this minor glitch...

His engine management was not plug and play so he had to wire the harness himself. The starter is just one of the things included in the stock harness so he had to "janky" it in when he re-wired basically his entire car. I'm only assuming that the relay he speaks of is he starter sense relay to click the starter over. It would have to be ran off the ignition wire (or any cranking only power).

Do you have a functioning ignition wire at the column still or is it ran through Autronic?

Seems like you must have been up way to late recently to be asking such stupid questions and take this to the forced induction forum where in belongs

it sounds like your timer is attached to the starter and not the "run" wires of the ignition. forgive me if i'm wrong, i know nothing of turbotimers.

You cant use the same relay cause it will power the turbo timer AND starter at the same time. You'll need another relay.

I just need to spend the time and draw out the schematics. Thanks for the help and the compliments

I know I'm new here but I didn't see the relevance off putting this under the forced induction forum, its wiring.

My car does this too for some reason if the I hold down the clutch when the turbo timer activates it engages the starter and I have to quickly kill it. I've worked on finding out why and never came up with a solution. If you dont have the clutch in on mine it works perfectly.
