Default Overheating while under boost..help please

hey everyone...my car started to over heat today when i was under full boost in fourth gear. i just changed my thermostat and it still does it. but as soon as i let off the gas the temp slow drops back to normal...could someone tell me what they think this could be? oh ya my coolant overflow tank is almost like its draining but there is no leakage anywheres that i can see...not even on the ground.

Just for the heck of it, go to a radiator shop and have them do a "sniffer" test on your coolant to make sure you haven't blown your headgasket. Many radiator shops will do this for free. If it's negative then you can at least rule the headgasket out and look for other problems. I was in denial for a long time about my overheating under boost but it turned out to be the headgasket.

Sounds to me like your running lean...is the motor tuned?

What EMS are you running for the turbo?

dont think its the fan switch cuz when you are doing a 4th gear pull theres so much air hitting the rad that the fan would almost be usless

my bet is headgasket as well
check your overflow bottle and see if its topped off, if it is, your headgasket is shot

Even if you don't have the signs of a head gasket and the tests come out to be fine. You could have a cracked/fractured head gasket which will act like a blown head gasket temp wise, but show no signs of one (White smoke, chocolate milk under the valve cover).

What he said... When my headgasket went the only idications I had were overheating after boosting, full overflow tank, bubbling coolant in the overflow tank/radiator. If I shut off my car it would be fine...no bubbling coolant or overheating. But as soon as I boosted, it'd start overheating again. You have to have a MAJOR breach in the headgasket to get some smoke or chocolate milkshake.
