Default OMG! MY CAR SUDDENLY DIED! COOLANT EVERYWHERE, MAYBE IN INTAKE?! HELP!

This sucks... so I went to the mall to meet up with a friend, to make the story short, he jumped in my car & we were about to head to Sonic...b/c I really dig the coconut cream pie shakes. I dont run my car hard by ANY means... so anyhow, we start idling off, doing maybe 2 MPH at most...then all of a sudden, the cars RPM's drop from 1500 RPM to 100-500 RPM & the car starts shaking & puting, then it just kills itself. Im like...what just happened?!... So I try starting it back up, & it starts up, takes a few seconds & comes back to life, then its start putting, & RPMS drop real low & kill itself... so we pop the hood.

We notice that radiator fluid by the overflow tank, has leaked EVERYWHERE by the intake. Some was even on the battery, & on the hood. It looked EXACTLY like 'condensation'. Seemed like only a 'pin-sized' hole in one of the hoses could have done this.

So we roll it into a parking spot, & where my car was moving, you could see a very small trail of fluid behind it, then where it died, a huge 1 square foot of fluid was sitting. BTW, engine heat was at NORMAL at ALL times.

About 10 minutes later, about 4 friends of mine showed up to examine what was going on. They told me to crank it & no one saw ANY fluid shooting or leaking anywhere, but it was very dark outside, but non visible. The car started up with about 5 seconds of cranking, & then came on, for about 7 seconds, & killed itself. So one of my friends suggests holding the gas pedal down...so I start the car, give it 100% throttle, & the car STILL sits at 500 RPMS & just kills itself after about 4 seconds. Try it again, same thing. The car will NOT rev at all, RPMS stay CONSISTENT.

NOW... this is where you tell me your opinions! I first thought, that it could be hydro-locked, but if this was true, then the engine wouldnt even turn over. So we noticed there was coolant on the distributor, & we figured that it got on the cap & such, & THAT is what is messing it up. Think of it this way, 0% throttle, engine idles at 300 RPMS & kills itself in about 7 seconds. 100% throttle, engine idles at 300 RPMS & kills itself in about 4 seconds. Sounds like to me, it has something to do with that. ANY help will be greatly appreciated. I have already towed the vehicle to the Acura dealership, but im trying to get an idea of what is going on, before they take a look at it tomorrow morning.

Thanks alot for your time

P.S. The car is an RS, automatic tranny.

why dont you open up the distributor cap and wipe it dry inside. maybe some radiator fluid got in there and it cant fire correctly.

what's the coolant temp gauge reading in all of this??? maybe your car is overheating, and that's why its dying? happened to me when my water pump went...

Like I said up there ^^, engine temperature was at normal operating temperature at ALL times. I check that gauge probably twice a minute as it is.

I even checked it while turning it on, with the coolant leaking & it STILL read normal temperature.

Just got a call from Acura. They said i blew 2 coolant hoses...which is pretty wack, considering, i was only at 1,000 RPM idling... They said that the car started right up, & began knocking, which went away after a few seconds they said. They said that its obvious that some coolant got into the engine, but the knocking went away almost instantly. So there going to drain the oil, & change it out. Fix the hoses.

i had a pin size hole once on the upper radiator hose that didnt seem like it could spray the way it drenched my engine bay. i actuall let the car run for a while and found where it was leaking from luckily. (didnt have to take it to dealership)

If the car started knocking, it might be a good idea to check the oil pressure. Antifreeze can KILL bearings!
