Can you use a secondary o2 Sensor on the primary or the other way around?

 

Not 100% sure, but I believe you can

Primary measures air flow.. while secondary pretty much monitors to make sure other 02 is working after cat... They are a little different .. wouldnt think it would work.. But im not sure.. Anyone ever swapped them before?

 

They are the same, you can switch the primary over to the secondary and vice versa. No difference between the parts.

I think it depends on the car. Some are the same part number some are not. EK civics do not have the same part number for the two sensors. When I tried to replace my primary with my secondary it only worked for about 3 days. (I am OBD1)

 

i dont think you can use a secodary o2 sensor in place of the heated primary o2 sensor. The one is alot more money that the other on some cars.

 

I've swapped them and no problems on my 99 civic. No cels no nothin. Runs just as good as normal.

specv5150 wo is running a secondary 4 wire as his primary on OBD1 ECU for couple months now.
