Default Map Sensor problem

I recieved a MAP sensor that I purchased off of ebay today. The thing is that it is not the same MAP that is already on the motor, nor does it fit. If I took the bracket off, and cut the plastic under it, I am sure it would fit. Could I use this if I got it to fit? The connections from the wiring do fit, it just does not fit into the throttle body without modification. Thanks

Well, it works. I threw a couple CEL's at first, but took it for another drive and beat on it and didn't throw one. So who knows. I would still like to know what car this came off of? Thanks

hmm thats weird. anyway, yea my car is just running lean now, and seems to bog a little bit at idle, but beats the hell out of what it used to do with the old MAP. Oh well. Yes the plug does fit.

thanks

u dont wanna run lean for too long. u may have detonation and ur motor go boom! i would rather run rich then run lean.

90-93 Integra had the MAP mounted on the firewall. Vacuum source was routed behind intake manifold to the throttle body.
