Default Always on brake light

I was just inquiring as to what you all may think....1992 Accord EX

I have a brake light that is on all the time...at varying degrees of brightness....also the ABS light will come on at random times...

YES i have checked the fluid, Brakes work great, ABS works (Checked it on some wet pavement), checked two wires coming from the brake fluid resivoir....

My only thought is perhaps the fluid level indicator electrics are malfunctioning and a new cap is in order.....any other thoughts??

Thanks

Cory

you are on the right track it could be the master cylindeer reservoir switch , jump wires if lite goes off that's it..,also make sure e-brake is not hanging up on you,,..... lever is all the way down

hey, my friend had a 91 accord that said his e-brake had always come on, usually on and off, and that it would come on when he took sharp turns, and it gets brighter when you actually pull the e-brakes....he said his brakes were working real good, but took it to the shop, and found out that his brakes at the back were dead, so im pretty sure its your brakes

I had a similar problem in my car. I thoroughly cleaned the wire connectors inside the fluid resevoir, and haven't had the problem since.

If your brake light is on all the time the most obvious thing would be your brake switch. No need to xplain. Or do you mean your ( ! ) light on gauges? Try checking terminals or what not on the m.cyl resivoir sensor, or perhaps your slave cyl is playing up.
