320hp at 16psi at 20 psi still getting 320hp tuned on 92 octane pump gas

Setup: Benson Sleeved 83mm B18C block, CP 9.0 Pistons, Manley Turbo Tuff rods, 2nd Gen B16a head, 750cc injectors, 255 fuel pump, AEM FPR, AEM EMS with GM solenoid for boost control, AEM certified tuner, Revhard Stage 2 kit with the T3/To4e standard turbo (eff to 450hp?), 2.5" downpipe and High flow Cat, 3" exhaust after that. I was thinking I could get a lot more power. What is the culprit? Please post suggestions.

 

3" downpipe would help a bit and the tune could use some working over

 

They have tuned and retuned can't get any more out of it. Any idea how much the 3" dp would help?

 

Well the turbo could be falling off out its effcientcy ranger perhaps... Are you sure that you hit 20lbs and still made the same power? Maybe the boost gauge has taken a dump one you... or maybe your bleeding boost from your BOV once you hit that psi? DSM bov's tend to bleed off boost past 18psi but Im unsure of what BOV your running...

Where was you AFR staying at during the tune? That would be a big factor

 

I have the Turbosmart Wastegate. The car is still at the shop not sure what the afr is. The shop is Torque Freaks, pretty sure they know what they are doing. Any more ideas?

Maybe the high flow cat is restricting your turbo's spool... I put down 400whp with a 2.5" dp and 81.5mm but with an open exhaust.

 

What was your setup: compression, turbo, and psi?

 

get rid of those b16 cams

 

cause no one has ever mad more than 320 whp on b16 cams :/

 

Cams huh? Any suggestions

 

first check compression, do a leakdown test if possible, check to make sure u dont have any boost leaks of any kind, and also check the shape of the turbo.

 

Last they told me compression was 150 across. Turbo is still like new condition no shaft play.
