Default Considering a JR super charger, have a few questions

Ok, I have a 97 delsol sohc vtec and am cosidering getting a super [prolly used] ( vs turbo because its easier to put it on and less expensive over all... correct me if im wrong) and have a few questions nagging me in my head:

1) I have about 80,000 miles on my car and I recently replace my headgasket, timingbelt/waterpump, among other things. Other than the piston rings do I have much to worry about internals wise? (not planning on driving this hard very often just every now and again)

2) Is vtec a problem? if I did get the SC should I disable my vtec or just let it rev lower?

Not planning on doing this any time soon but just some questions I has, if there is any other info you guys can help me out with, such as issues you know about or big reasons not to get lemmie know.

Thanks = ]

You will be fine running a SC on that setup. VTEC will not be a problem either Just as long as you tune it properly

JR charger easier to install than a turbo? Ha!

Set vtec to about 4,000 - 4,200. Don't worry about internals. I put a JR charger on my '98 with 88k miles and drove the **** out of it with no problems. Not much blow-by.

Miles don't realy affect too much, do a leak down test first. If your good , go ahead but get it tuned right.

oh yeah, another questions, what would be the maintenance I'd need to perform on the super, ex: ever xxxxxx miles I need to xxxxxxxxxx. Like change the lube...

thanks

compression and leakdown will tell you if your motor is boostable.

difficulty of installing of either turbo or SC is dependent on whether you know what you are doing.

JRSC maintenence will be your belts.

driving with bandaids compared to an engine management system is like comparing day and night. tuning is key to satisfaction.
