Friend and I are having a dissagreement, with axles....
he think's he won't break his OEM type-r axles with 220whp, with slicks on the track. I told him to at leats upgrade to Stage 2 DSS axles, but he said that's a higher risk on cracking/breakin your differential? Would OEM axles hole up with some slicks, and 220whp, and 130-150lbs of torque???
What Art means is if you pop the clutch off the line, it will cause alot of shock on the transmission, diff., and axles eventualy causing failure... But if you pre load the clutch, it reduces the shock off the line, which extends the life of these parts (compaired to not pre loading)...
I ran on stock axles for 1 1/2 seasons with 500+whp without breaking one on the track, but i broke one loading the car on the trailer before (caused by poping the clutch)... Driving style plays a big factor...

Hold the clutch to wear it engages while having ebrake or staging brake. This already applies the launch power to the drivetrain. When the light hits the 3rd yellow, release the ebrake or staging brake.
i ran all of last year running 11's with 400whp........have had good luck this year on stock axles in the 10's.

we all know you have nitro driveline in your car - you are just pulling our leg like only running 18 psi too

That would really depend on whether or not you have your 2step setup to active via clutch switch. Even so I would imagine that you could adjust your clutch switch so that upon preloading the clutch, the car would not kick out of 2step.
I plan on setting up the 2step on the ebrake.

hahaha i dont expect anybody to beleive my car...im still in denial! honestly if i was reading about my car online i'd pull the BS flag myself.
i have my 2 step hooked up with 2 relay's.........one on a clutch switch and one on the e-brake so that i can use the ebrake in the burn out box and still use it to pre-load the suspension. both relays have to be activated for it to 2 step...not just one.
