shifter spring to neutral
after my car is warmed up and i have drived it for a while, the shifter will not shift back to the normal neutral position (between 3rd and 4th). say i pull the car out of 2nd gear, the shifter will stay between 1 and 2 instead of springing back to the middle.
which spring do i need to replace? im going to be buying it from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/ so i need a pretty accurate name. also, is it hard to install?

You might want to check the tranny itself. The side to side motion is spring loaded in the tranny. Disconnect the cable at the tranny( the small lever) and see if it springs back to the center position. You should be able to pupoo poo either way and it should return to center by itself. If it doesn't you have a problem inside the tranny shift lever assembly. There are two springs in there. One is for 5th/ reverse and the other is the select return spring. I assume one of these could have broke or popped out of place. I can see if I can get you a pic for referrence.

i dont think they popped out of place.. because like i said, it does work when the car is cold. just after about 20 mins of driving.. it gets soft and nonspringy.
