What makes the gear shifter spring to the center of the shift pattern? Is it in the Transmission, or
My shifter flops left and right, when in netural or in any gear. Everything shifts fine but it has no 'spring.' Please help, thank you!

Anybody been messing with the trans? Have any of the detent spring bolts loosened up?

Are the 'detent spring bolts' the same as the spring pin on the shift rod? Is my problem internal or external of the transmission?
