few questions please
Sup Fellas Im new here and I see that im a NOOB. How long does this last? Where im soooo restricted. Also I have a 95 Accord with a H22a JDM swap. The question I have is my p13 ecu vtec kicks in a 4K and my rev limit is at 5500 I know this isnt right. It says it was upgraded by a shop. Anyway, has anyone ever had this problem and What should the rev limit be 8500? And I just changed the fuel filter so I dot believe its the fuel pressure. Could it be anything else B4 I head over to kurse them out bout the ECU.. I did a mini me swap on my 92 4 door civic and ran a STOCK P72 ecu and i was reving out to 7500. So i know somethings wrong, can anyone help???????? Thanks
I think its a wire. Check your wire for the Vtec. I had my swap do it, but it didn't do it at first but I crashed my car before I could find out what it is. By the way I had my first swap done by a (you get wht you pay for)crappy mechanic who didn't know how to do my swap well (The Drop Shop now TDC in NH). I'm having my swap done now buy a repitubale shop who has done my swap several times before (a little more expensive), he just called me friday and asked where the wire harness came from because some of the plugs didn't match up. So I hope your going to a good mechanic. By the way shortly after that problem started(which I think was a wire coming loose) my car would not start.
well the swap was done by professionals, pacific Performance, they have a website too. You can see my car there. Emerald Green Accord. ww.PacificPerformace.com in customer rides. When the swap was 1st done it reved out to 6500 i think, one day recent i was driving and got the revs up to 5k and the damn think boggled out, I lost all fuel pressure. It didnt shut off until it droped( by itself) all the way down to ) rpms I couldnt give it gas to stay started. If flet as if I over revedthe car but I wasent expecting to have it kick me back so soon It was still on until it died, it had it didnt stall on me. My mechanics wanted me to check my fuel pressure 1st which was to change the fuel filter. That Didnt work ...I dissconneced the Vtec solinoid and the ECU once I put them back the next day( today) it reved up to 6k once b4 it went back to 5500. So Im totally clue less about this. But I know H22s are suppose to Rev at likr 7600 stock right? I see Vtec controller. My Vtec kick in fine and HARD@ 4200. But I dont think it should cut out at 5500. Any other suggestions? You guys think my ECU could have messed up? I opened it and i didnt smell or see anything burnt. ???????? And does anyone have the EGR hooked up or do you have the vacume sealed?

The guy I went to could do a B-series swap in his sleep. It's just he didn't know how to do my swap(CB7&H22A). He also had a website, by the way I didn't see your car unless its the one with the sticker on window back I think.

Well "MY" Mechanics have done swaps, so just the concept kinda throws them off

The emerald green one. The thing thats trippin me out is i just tested the P13 in my homeboys Civic. And it reved his car to 7K.....So I know the ECU isnt the problem. WTF could this be, its killing me! LOL!

Have you tried to see if the ecu is throwing any codes? It sounds to me like it is in limp mode, most likely due to faulty wiring of something during the swap.
I have a EGR issue which the vacum is just sealed off with a rubber seal thats removable. from the throttle body its not connected to the egr at all, I just cleaned it SaT. I took it off and got a new gasket and got some carb cleaner and cleand the hell out of it. I connected it and it made the car putt like as if it were missing. This Makes the car smell of fuel alot. My mechanic says I need a new one, but When I 1st got the swap from the Performance shop they had it sealed? Was this to tell me not to worry about it? Or its not needed, or were lazy and dont wanna bother. Also the engine light comes on after like 2 or 3 miles or driving, not right away
twilight zone today........vtec did not kick in at all. im worried now.......Anyone got any suggestions b4 I go blow some money?????? Dissconected the battery and vtec kicked in.........i hate this crap

Yea it acutally makes like a wierd starting sound, like if the starter is going when i start it......my speedometer works fine....I will have an answer for those that want to know by Saturday. I will be heading to the shop to break my pockets, at least ill be ready 4 the races next friday night.....
Ok I took it to a mechanic.
1. The ecu has a burn mark on one of the lines.
2. There was green corrosion inside the ecu on one of the prongs that connects to the plug.
3. He got some WD40 and sprayed the prong and the harness and volia!
4. The ecu is burned & causes the car to only rev out to 5.5 at idol.
the car revs like b4 while in motion.
So you guys seen the problems, if this happens to you, check the ecu all over an make sure your not getting corrision on the harness plug. He says it has something to do with mositure.
Anyone selling a Chipped p13? Im going to need a new one.

well car is bak to the same ol crap. Now as soon as I get up to 4k close to vtech the rev jumps from 4 to like 6 in a single motion and car shuts off, takes like 45 seconds of waiting b4 it will start back up. I have MSD do you think this could be the issue. I put in my boys p72 ecu and it still does it. So I know the ECU isnt the problem.
