white smoke smells funny?
I will start my car up, white smoke will come out of the exhaust, not that heavy but noticable. when I move after the cars been warming up alot of white smoke will come out. after driving around for a bit the smoke will be gone. but if im sitting at a red light or stop sign It appears again.
what I think....burning coolant?
bad headgasget?
my set up b16a t3/t4 garrett turbo. any ideas of what it could be? thanks

Im not too familiar with your problem, but it seems to me that white smoke is coming out of your exhuast at idle. It could be coming out at cruising speeds but you just dont see it maybe becuase of the air flow? Usually white smoke means coolant is being combusted. Blue smoke means oil is being combusted and Black smoke means too much fuel. Since you have white smoke, coolant is somehow getting into your combustion chamber. I am not too familiar with this problem, but I am going to say im 70% sure its your headgasket.

white smoke almost always coolant. majority of the time its the head gasket. be sure to resurface your head before reinstall.
but ive also seen occasions of cracked water jackets as well.

you said smells funny? if its coolant it'll smell sweet (or maybe bitter if its some of this newer embittered coolant). ever smelled burnt sugar before? thats what a headgasket smells like, sickly sweet. some white smoke is normal, as white means water vapor, and its a byproduct of combustion, and some condenses too.
my oil return line does have a small curve to it and i know theres no pressure for that line but could that really make all the differnce? and yes its a stock b16a at 5psi.
i like have the same problem, when i N launch black smoke comes up, when i start up the car, bluish white smoke comes out. it is probably the oil since i just got the car, and i duno when the helll the last oil change and tune-up was. oh well. ima get it tuned and checked winthin this month.
White smoke = coolant
smells funny = antifreeze
headgasket, cracked head, cracked block, turbo leaking coolant into the cold side
open your rad and see if you have bubbles
lower cylinder pressures at idle or decell sucks in coolant = smoke.... err steam

Well then you must have mis-read the color of the smoke.
Burning oil is blue and can look like white unless you have the correct lighting.
Here's a link that might help you next time.

check to make sure your intake manifold gasket isnt leaking that was my budies freind and that could explain the only at idle becouse when ur under boost its a boost leak letting out air but at idle it is sucking it in
no I think its the head gasket i just wanted others opinions to see what they thought. a turbo setup is very easy to put on a honda, like taking candy from a baby lol na but I just wanted to see what other people thought it might be.
