Icon2 white smoke

i just bought a civic thats been sitting for over 7 months from my neighbor. the first time i started it, it smoked white and stoped after 10 seconds. i thought it was just water build up in the exhaust from sitting for so long but it smelled like fuel. well i went to get it a oil change for it and it does it agian. 10 seconds of white smoke and smelled out of the exhaust. i drive it on the freeway after about 30 mins. i get home park it and start it and no more white smoke. i let the car cool down and i check the coolent and oil and it was all fine. then i let it sit over nite and when i go to start it no smoke. but 2 hours later alittle bit of white smoke came out with some water. the car drives fine, just wondering if the headgasket is no good or the pcv valve is bad. please help out

Examine your spark plugs. Peer down the plug holes with a flashlight and look at the piston crown. Evaluate either for suspicious cleanliness.

Pressure test the cooling system if you lose pressure with no external leaks then stick a swab or piece of clean white string down each plug hole to see if there's any coolant. Try not to drop anything in the engine though.

Drain oil into clean container then in clear glass jar (big pickle jar works good) and examine for coolant.

Don't overpressurize the cooling system or you will blow something.
