Default Turbo teg compression test results help

As a few of you may know I just had my car tuned 2 weeks ago to the tune of 290 whp and 235tq at 14psi, and you may ask yourself, that seems low? Well, everyone was right. It turns out I believe I had a problem and worsened it by going 135mph. As soon as i hit 135 mph the other day I saw a huge cloud of smoke behind the car as well as smoke under the hood, ****! Pulled over and popped the hood, nothing. There are no leaks of any kind anywhere. We pulled the plugs and there was a little bit of oil on the pistons, just a slight film? We changed the plugs and the car started but smoked a little on the way home and continuously got better on the way back. I just did a comp test tonight and here are the numbers from 1 to 4: 150, 150, 40, 150. We put oil in the number 3 cylinder to see if the numbers went up, hence blown rings, and no # change. Also, I believe that it has to be something with head due to smoke still coming out of the nipple on valve cover. I really need some good advice on this one guys! Thanks. Ryan.

Difinitely your ringland my friend, i believe they crack. same thing happen to me as im winding up 2nd gear then boom a **** load of smoke behind me and in the car. Btw why are your other number so low? 150 damn i was pumping out 130 with a broken ringland and 190 on the rest, an LS(im assuming) should be in the area of 190

Edit: read your set-up and your engine is built, i cant imagine a ring land giving up at that power on a built engine, but from the description it sound like it, well you could take the car out and boost it 1 or 2 lb, then check it again see if it smoke also check the dipstick hole and see if smoke come out from there

well..the motor has 8.8:1 compression.......if I had broken ringlands the car wouldn't idle perfect would it? Also, there is NO smoke coming out the back when the car runs now. That's why i believe it's something in the head. Also, why would that smoke come out of the valve cover nipple and no where else?

When i broke my ringland, the car idle and drive perfectly normal also. it started to smoke as i get on it a little bit, smoke would be coming out of the valve breather at idling only a little bit, but if i get on it smoke come out of my dipstick hole also

You get blow by with cracked ring lands the the rings not sealing the combustion chamber off properly. So you get the resulting mix going past the rings and into your sump/valve cover it gets pressurised and starts to come out of the path with least resistance usually valve cover vent. Sucks for you.

It probably will smoke a little out exhaust when accellerating hard to.

oh man, i thought the compression test came out alright? With everything you've explained and the compression not changing with the oil added i'd say thats definatly ringlands, that totally explains your wicked crankcase pressures... sorry man

How much timing were you running to crack a forged piston's ringland?

Not a smart move by beating on it like you do. Chances are it might been like that before you even went tuning. I told you to watch what you do. But I guess it was fun while it lasted

Do a leakdown test and see where the air is coming from. If it comes from the dipstick hole you are fucked and need bottom end work.

Cyl 3 is always the one brotha. As it gets worse the car will start to shut off on you.
