Need help B16 eg.....JRSC or Greddy kit....need opinions and advice
Well I'm going to be swaping a stock JDM B16 sir-2 in my EG in the next week or two. Now I've always wanted to go forced induction but I'm still up in the air as to which way would be best for my application. My car is my only car, so reliability is a big issue. I'm not looking for really big numbers, aimming for like 250 at the very most. I do alot of mountain road driving (Chuckanut for all the Bellingham tuners
), so i need the avalible torque to get me out of the 15mph turns. I also want something that will give me easy-to-drive power around town and on the freeway.
Jackson Racing SC
Pros - Nice, flat consistent torque curve, proven reliability
Cons - Limited in peak power and boost
Greddy B16 18g Turbo kit
Pros - Adjustable boost levels, great HP curve, BOV
Cons - Turbo lag (if any at all), reliability as boost goes up
Now I know that a proper tune will keep reliability up, and I'd plan on tuning with Power Perfect piggyback, a tuner with a JRSC'd '99 Si runns that and has had great results with it, plus he already has base maps and whatnot already written up. I'm also up to other suggestions on turbo setups also as lag and price are around the Greddy kit

Bump people......its been 4hrs and no one has anything constructive to say?? i think other people are in the same position as me
get the greddy kit if you want a complete bolt on kit and not have any problems. As far as lag goes the turbo spools so quickly that there isn't any lag. Only problem I hate is the internal wastegate that fluctuates @ higher boost levels. definately great if your lookin for a quick street car.
