Default D16 build??? Darton or Golden Eagle Sleeves???

I'mIn the process(EARLY) of building up a 3-400hp D series. i was wanting to know opinions on Sleeves for the D16z6 motor. i've been told that the GE sleeves are the best for my car by many in Memphis but I want opinions from everyones own experience. Are the Dartons good for a daily driver as well as a track car. i am building the engine for around 25 psi of boost with a peakbost manifold, Hondata and Precision SC61 and having EVERYTHING cryotreated. Please give me some feedback on this. Thanks.

Don't really know what sleeves to use but what setup are you planning on running?

Dont know about sleeves, but may I reccomend Arias Pistons. Forged pistons for 25psi is a must. Also, check out titanium connecting rods, as most OEM honda rods could take like 15lbs, but definatly not 25lbs.

head on over to the Turbod16.com where you'll find all your d16 answers.

now, if i had to guess, I believe darton sleeves are more commonly used in the d16?

The Engine will be fully built with Sleeves , GE BlocK Guard, SRP Pistons, Eagle Rods, Knife Edged and micropolished crank, Hondata, 650 cc injectors, 55 shot of nitrous, dual stage boost controller, The rotating assy will be fully balanced and assembled professionally with all clearances checked and rechecked. On top of that all the internals and tranny will be cryotreated for strength. This car will be daily driven. I am hoping to have this project done by fall 2006. I want the baddest SOHC VTEC in the TN/MS/AR area. I will have just that. Hopefully.

hmm i might have to drive down there and show you up.. j/k but darton sleeves are very nice, i think either would be a good choice, both are very reputable and about the same price, i bought a block that is RS sleeved and should serve me well
