Where can I get a Clutch Alignment tool?
Is there any online tool/parts supplier that you guys recommend for getting an Exedy Clutch Alignment tool? I got an Daikin/Exedy Clutch kit but no clutch alignment tool. Do you know if I need the exact same clutch alignment tool that is supposed to come with the kit?
I looked high and low to find one, there are suppliers online that have them I've randomly found before, but I didn't want to wait that long to get one. You don't need one specific to the clutch, rather to the car. If you just bought a clutch kit, why didn't it come with one?
You can align it by eye and finger, or use a head of a screwdriver to line it up, and likely it will work. But, you have to get it pretty close.

So you can't get one seperately? My SCCA class specifies that I have to use OEM clutch; and I was going to order it from http://www.slhondaparts.com, but I may reconsider if I can't get the tool anywhere.
I don't know if you have a local speedshop but ours here sells them seperately I'm not sure how much though. Maybe if you go to like pepboys or somehting they can order it for you.

What I normally do is use a 6" or longer 3/4 extension and put electrical black tape and stick that part inside the flywheel/pilot bearing hole (dont add too much tape or else the extension wont be able to go in the pilot bearing.
Next I put the clutch disk onto the flywheel (just holding it w/out bolting it up yet) and measure it with my finger to see how far the extension would come out, w/ my finger. After having my finger to measure the depth of the extension I just add some more electrical black tape so that it would fit into the clutch disk spline hole. This would hold the clutch disk up after you have taped the extensions. If you would like I could take pictures of it.

Not Orilieys or however you spell those idiots names. They will tell you after having to look on thier computer that you clutch is self alligning and that you do not need a tool what so ever. A first gen Eagle talon or eclipse alignment tool will work on a D-series if I remember right if you have one of those lieing around.

You can order one from ACT for $4 plus shipping. Just go to http://www.advancedclutch.com and click on store, enter your cars info in the application selector on the left, and when it brings up all the info on what clutch kits they have scroll down and you will see the alignment tool you need and its only 4 dollars. I ordered one from them.
When I bought a clutch kit for my Accord a couple years ago or whatever, it didn't come with an alignment tool. I found a company on eBay selling clucthes for my car, contacted the company directly and bought a tool from them. I want to say they charged me like $5 shipped or something. I went that route because no auto parts store in my area had the tool for my car. You can deffinately get them seperate from clutch kits though, might just take some searching.
