Koni or Tokico
I'm an autocrosser and I'm a big fan of the Tokico Illuminas I have them on my 1st Gen Rex w/ Ground Control Coilovers (unfortunately the rex is now totalled
) But they're great.... I'm not a fan of Koni's b/c of the valving. If you're going to use them for more than a year or so on a lowered car you should get them re-valved. The tokico's are good on a lowered car right out of the box. Hope this helps.

For the benefit of those voting, Koni Special shocks aren't adjustable. Me, I'd go with Neuspeed Koni adjustables. They're 20mm shorter than the standard application from Koni and have different valving.
Koni Special are adjustable!
They just can't be adjusted while on the car, I've owned a pair and it is not easy since you have to remove the shock entirely from the car and compress it completely to adjust it.

I love my Koni Yellows...I can set them to fully relaxed position for long trips, make them so hard that I can feel it when I run over ants for track events, and put them somewhere in the middle for everyday driving.
the blues are cool for a while...but mines went out on me after 2 years, plus i think they were too stiff when i had my h&r race springs on...i'm getting kyb agx's now..we'll see how those work with my ground controls...
I talked to a guy at Eibach. He said konis were a good choice...he also said KYB's sucked the big one...He recomended no struts over kyb's. I learned alot about springs..

Tokico Illuminas.
I've had mine for about 4 years, and they're still nice and stiff. The Blues really are too soft. Also, changing the Tokico's is extremely easy. You could literally do the rears while you were going down the road in a hatch (Assuming you aren't driving)! There is no jacking the car up or anything, just turn the little dial and look at the indicator 1-5. I love them. The only bad thing is that you don't get separate adjustment for rebound and dampening, but at least it changes both. Some adjustables only do rebound (or is it dampening)?!?
