For some reason my ls/vtec is throwing the vtec code..... I have checked the wires and the connections. Im using a gsr ecu, do u think that is fried.....it doesnt throw the code until vtec is hit around 5500 rpms. Even though i did the wiring, i know it is right, b/c i have taken classes on wiring. Can anyone think of anything els....please help

 

gsr vtec is around 4400, r u sure its a gsr ecu?

 

yeah, took it out of a gsr.....anything u can think of....it hits vtec then throws a code.... i want to take it somewhere, but dont want to pay, i;d rather fix it myself

 

this is a long shot but i'll share my expierence....gsr powered civic kept throwing codes at around vtec engagement and it turned out to be a tps, have you checked that? does the cel stay on afterwards?
