ok just recently my cel light came on so i ran the code and it says vtec system malfunction.... basically it will not allow vtec to kick in making it impossiable to rev past 5k of course i can reset the ecu but that wouldnt solve the problem only make it go away for a few days any help is much aprreciated i just am not shure where to begin to fix it.. thanks

 

Check for continuity between the ECU and the VTEC solenoid. If the wiring checks out, then replace the solenoid.
