Default how much power has been made on a log manifold.

I'm starting my turbo project and I'm considering which manifold to buy. Doing everything ll at once is draining on the budget so i'm considering a log manifold for now. I know some good numbers have been made with them, even though there are better options out there. I think kenny tran broke 9s with a rev hard, which is what i'm considering. So how much power can be made with a log manifold?

This is going in a street driven DC2 with a goal of breaking 10s on turbo and nitrous, if it matters to you.

if you want to break 10s, u might want to get an equal length and not a log manifold

10s in DC2 chassis != budget

usually does drain the budget quick, but if you're shooting for 10s, i would save up.

true story, you will more than likely get to your goal alot quicker with the more sufficient tools first

i know i prolly wont break 10 right off the bat, if i need to i'll upgrade latter. but i think i can get close to this goal. I know of guys that are breaking 400whp on log manifolds. I figure it will take around 500whp to break 10s. The bottle should help to.

Am i completely off base here

if this isnt really possible can anyone recommend a manifold other than full race. Say with a budget of $500 for the manifold

Get one of the full race "copies". Like neukin, lovefab, etc. There is a guy "silly sohc" on here that makes some that look just like FR. Probably not welded as nicely though.

i'm not real sure either, but could have somethin to do with consistancy? longevity? performance potential?

Does the Inline-Pro count as a log style? If so, jinx broke 10's with one.

i dont see why a log manifold would be inconsistant, or offer poor longevity. Care to elaborate

If you want to do 10s in a DC2, it's going to be much easier using a good manifold.

I know this sounds like common sense... but that is because it is common sense.

i know that, but easier doesnt mean its not possible. If i can fit it in the budget i'll go for it. If not i'll have to spray more or something

Run a good log or cast mani (ANYTHING BUT A WELD-EL MANIFOLD!) and 10's are possible. You don't NEED to go to a tubular, but a lovefab minime would be a nice choice for a budget.

I built a prelude for someone with a pT61 at 18# with a log manifold and it made 445 to the wheels on pump gas,It would of easily made 500hp.

theres nothing wrong with using a log mani, people have been doing it forever

plus logs spool the turbo faster as proven by full-race themselves

whatever the case may be, post your results in the end

o and tuning is the most important part of any project

good luck with it

i made 428whp on 15 psi with a rev hard manifold and a GT3561E, i would have kept it and pushed 500 but i got a equal length tubular for a great price and couldnt pass it up
